procedure is easy enough

start by splitting the fob into the top and bottom piece's

Jag2.jpg

to use the key on a mk2 mondy the transponder in the top half needs to be changed to 1 from a mk2 mondy

u now need to cut along the bottom part (the part that sits flush with the bottom half, u NEED to cut this as the plastic has been welded, i used a dremel (other cutting tools are available )

u WILL need to glue this part back together again

u can now see the transponder this just lifts out to be relaced with the 1 from the mk2

next, tidy up the "cut" u performed to split the key in 2, this is essentail to ensure the key flips out smoothly

to remove the key you will see a hole with a "spring/clip", this needs to be removed in order to remove the key, i used a jewelers precision screwdriver to do this, with the pin removed, hold the key with pilers/molegrips and remove (it will be tight to ensure u've had ur wheatabix )

ur new key will (well mind did) need to be shortened, again use the dremel to ensure an good tight fit, i used some glue also to hold the key for extra security

reassembly is the above in the reverse

ps, if u need to change the battery
