All Mk3 Mondeos have a glovebox light, which is a 501 wedge bulb. You may think yours does not: here's what to check:

1. The glovebox light only operates when the glovebox is opened and the sidelights or headlights are on.

2. The bulb is rather exposed and may have been broken by someone carelessly putting something in the glovebox. Don't copy my example and find the shattered glass remains with your finger: get your head down in the footwell and look up at the socket, which is top front centre of the aperture. Alternatively, use a mirror.

3. Of course, the bulb could simply have blown. It's the same type as the footwell bulbs, so you could switch with one of those to test.
