The answer according to Ford

Thank you for your letter regarding the use of bio diesel in your mondeo 2.2 tdci. Bio diesel is strictly forbidden for use in our highly sophisticated range of diesel engines, we have not carried out any commercial tests with them using this type of fuel, therefore we are unable to advise you what modifications you may need to carry out, or what effects may occur from its use, or any implication on warranty. we can confirm there are no immediate plans to implement the use of this alternative fuel for the mondeo 2.2 tdci engines.

The diesel fuel specification for these engines is EN590 or equivalent; do not mix with any oil, petrol or other liquids. Diesel fuels which are commercially available at fuel station forecourts, which contain a mix of up to an absolute maximum of 5% RME(bio diesel) accurately carried out by the oil refiners/oil companies prior to delivery to the retailers may be acceptable........
